Doom Posted October 14, 2014 Share Posted October 14, 2014 NHS if I need an operation, Trident if those pesky Ruskies want to try and invade us. Since 1945 we've had peace across mainland Europe, how much is that down to the nuclear deterrent? If the reason we've had peace for so long is due to the nuclear deterrent, then I think it's probably a price worth paying.......Let's just hope we never have to use it. I think we do need to maintain a decent nuclear deterrent, and nuclear subs are awesome at doing that. but what is the money going to be paying for, more newer bombs or just replacing ones that are old and not reliable now??
