poppet2
I wonder how much that is going to cost, it would surely be easier and cheaper to publish the figures on their website or give them to the press to publish. Yes, how ironic that the Tories are wasting tax payers money publishing their propaganda, when they purposefully are scaremongering and haven't provide a breakdown of the Welfare figures. You can tell there's an election coming. All these figures are freely available under the freedom of information act, so there was no need for Osborne to make this statement and waste our money publishing these dubious figures. I wonder what the guesstimate figure for tax avoidance of all his fat cat friends are? Edited November 3, 2014 by poppet2

poppet2
Well, there you go, if such an unbiased institution as the TUC says so it must be true.. So which part of this don't you agree with and why? 'The letters are being sent – at a cost of £5m'. On Monday, the TUC criticised the chancellor’s motives for sending out the statements. Frances O’Grady, the union’s general secretary, said: “The chancellor is relying on the fact that many people think spending called welfare all goes to the unemployed. This is softening us up to a major cut to the welfare state safety net to which we all should contribute so that it is there if we need it.”

Do you think many people think welfare just goes to the unemployed?
