JSTAR

Jstar has been pumping out party hits for ten years now culminating with the release of ‘Licensed Plates’ – a selection of his finest licensed tracks from the past decade. The staple sounds of his west London heritage echo through twelve bass-heavy tunes, taking you on a vibing rhythmic journey, celebrating an eclectic mix of music genres and what some have coined as Dubtronica. Jstar as a label first became known for his remixes of Blackstreet’s ‘No Diggity’ on Real Rock riddim and Blu Cantrell’s ‘Blushanti’ on Shanty Town riddim, which grabbed the public’s attention and proved popular among top DJs of the time, such as Norman Jay. That initial release was a true labour of love: working with vinyl, self-producing and self-promoting required total dedication – as well as time and money. Although Jstar vowed he would never put himself through such a demanding process again, he couldn’t resist his creative urges. So it wasn’t long before he was back making more, going on to produce mainly unofficial remixes (but getting authentication where he could). With his rising reputation this meant Jstar was soon working on big productions for major artists and record companies which included EMI, Sony, V2 and Acid Jazz. ‘Licensed Plates’ compiles the best of the best with the tracks that most sum up Jstar’s unique style. As a token of his appreciation for all the support, ‘Licensed Plates’ has been packaged with his fans in mind. The 2-LP limited vinyl includes stickers, inside cover art by French artist and pro snowboarder Hugo De Vismes and download codes for bonus digital tracks.

ANN D - GET UP N' SKANK

What can we say about Ann D. She is one of Sheffield longest standing DJ’s since the beginning of turntable history! She is the Queen of Headcharge, one of Sheffield biggest and best loved Techno Rave nights from back in the day, she was there at the start of Dubcentral over nearly 15 years ago, she plays music, makes music, mixes music, does the radio regularly and has never in all this time showed any signs of slowing down. She’s surrently a resident for a Sheffield event Get Up N’ Skank too. DAMN she makes it all look so glorious too, Ann D is a beautiful lady, and it’s hard to take your eyes off her when she’s doing her thing! We love you Ann and so happy to have you back with the Dubcentral Family!

WILL TEE – DESCENDANT MUSIC

Will Tee had loads of new releases coming up in the next few months, including tunes with the new wave of Jamaican artists including Micah Shemaiah, Addis pablo, Exile Di Brave, Infinate and Sheffield's own unstoppable K.O.G. He also has new releases coming out on the Black Redemption Label from New York and most importantly Will Tee will be featuring with The Vibes Box. You’ll have to come and see the magic vibes box to get it! It’s smoking! Catch him alongside Echo Ranks on the Mic !

FATTA - DUBCENTRAL

Really looking forward to having Fatta performing alongside Echo Ranks on the mic. Operator of Universal HiFi: Dubcentral's own soundsystem, Fatta comes armed with sirens, echos, reverbs, and the toughest selection of reggae, roots and dub... proper session vibe! Fatta's performance may get serious but in all the right ways ;)

SHAKTI - DUBCENTRAL

Shakti is the glue that keeps Dubcentral together.. She is back to play you exclusives from her dub box! Expect Nice Up vibes from start to finish!
