billiej Posted November 14, 2014 Share Posted November 14, 2014 Sorry I can't offer you a photo of Walkerdne's shoe repair shop on South Rd, but I grew up in Freedom Rd in the 40s and early 50s, and I remember the shop well. I believe it was the end shop in the row which started with Brinsley's shop at the junction of South Rd and the top of Freedom Rd.I think the next shop to Walkerdine's, going towards town was Reg Lenton's greengrocers.
