The Joker
I'm having to "alert" other drivers a lot, now its getting darker in the early evening. If a car comes towards me without its lights on, I turn my lights off and on several times, and beep my horn repeatedly. And if that doesn't work, I veer over to their side of the road, forcing them to stop. It hasn't failed yet, surprisingly enough.
Cyclone
not really thought that through have you? What? You don't think seeing smoke from your tyre in your mirrors might indicate a problem?
barleycorn
Yeah, I can see how it might happen, particularly if the dash always lights up. My opinion (FWIW) is that auto lights should have been mandated along with DLR. I don't. I have auto lights but dont use them as they don't come on in poor visibility conditions like heavy rain. I think if people start to rely on them they may become complacent and forget to override them in such situations. ---------- Post added 14-11-2014 at 07:47 ---------- What? You don't think seeing smoke from your tyre in your mirrors might indicate a problem? I got pulled for a past halfway flat on the M1. There was no smoke or loss of handling. jb
