Vile Twitter threats to Jess Ennis

Recommended Posts

If people did not use the social media to publicise how many times they go to the toilet and such then all this online abuse would not be possible, the first 4 letters of the site says it all and facebook is just the internet version of jeremy kyle.

That's a silly and facile argument, like blaming the existence of knives for the fact that people get stabbed.

He could at least call off his attack dogs and order them to stand down - you know, the ones that have published the details of his victim.

Twice.

How can he have any control of that?.:loopy::loopy:.

As for his victim she was bragging on twitter directly after the case how she was going to get a pink mini and take her friends on holiday with her compensation claim.

Ched Evans has no control over the idiots on twitter.

Just to be clear there is going to be an appeal so this case is still open and on going.

As it stands now he is convicted off the offence but is appealing that conviction after serving his sentence, people who are using the "he hasn't apologised" line to strengthen there objection to him going back to his old job either haven't got a clue what they are talking about or don't care about the legal system of this country.

How can he apologise when he is fighting his conviction?.

Sorry to be pedantic but if you wish to be clear there might be an appeal but the right to appeal has not been granted as yet. The The Criminal Cases Review Commission have first to investigate whether there are grounds for appeal and decide that there are before one can be granted.

Oops already been said by JFK Vs Nixon - really need to speed up my typing skills (or lack of).

No you haven't cleared things up.

At the moment Ched's legal team have applied for an appeal and the courts are currently deciding whether an appeal would be appropriate. It's worth remembering that Ched's previous appeal application was turned down.

Ched Evans case is going to appeal that is a fact, it was also stated that they are fast tracking it because of all the publicity.

If Ched asked those idiots on twitter to stop harassing her, they would.

So why won't he?

If he was any kind of decent human being he would at the very least publically condemn them and ask them to stop.

Grounds for appeal can be refused and a convicted person can still follow it up but he/she loses a lot of safety by doing that, unless things have changed I am quoting the system from quite a long time ago.

The process then was if you was given leave to appeal you did not risk getting anything added to your sentence if you failed, but if you carried on without "leave to appeal" from a judge you risked getting more time if you lost.
