Because some people have turned into a joke with there disgracful opinions on the matter, some of the things I have read over the months has been sickening to be quite honest... sheff71 Posted November 17, 2014 Share Posted November 17, 2014 The person who updates the 'Meet our Patrons' page on the foundation website must have had a busy week - hopefully no more feel the need to leave, as the foundation is managed independently of the club, and has no say in the club's decisions - it's a shame if Sheffield kids are the ones who lose out over this whole thing. Where has anyone made 'it' a joking issue, the thread is about Paul Heaton's resignation and a few people have posted some Housemartins / Beautiful South lyrics in a 'non inflammatory' manner, why the need to be so prissy ? The serious threads have been done to death, closed, moderated and regurgitated, there are plenty of other things happening out there in the world for people to jump on and get self righteous about .... It was a gaffe but an understandable one I think. Broadcasters are so used to having to preface anything controversial with the word that she was probably on autopilot.
