dutch
If homes are well supported then they will work for some. St Wilfrids is trying to raise money for a supported housing project. The charity already has a centre that works with and helps homeless people, so it understands that for many, homelessness is just one of their issues. This is what they want to do: http://www.stwilfridscentre.org/residential-project Yes you are right. We are talking about very individual different cases here and it will be impossible to generalize the whole lot in one category. Whatever we say about one will be different for the other out there on the street. I will not be able to say one thing that applies to the lot of them. Mecky
Homeless will increase with a tory government and putting them in sheds like some third world country will not be accepted by the EU. Correct and I'm not convinced it has anything to do with available property either http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-31108799
monkey104
No one needs to be homeless? All they need to do is turn up at Howden house, declare themselves homeless and they will be provided for.
dutch
When someone is addicted to drugs, booze. Emotional problems, serious inner pain and suffering, rejected by the family. Giving them a key to an apartment (or a shed) is not going to solve the problem. They are going to need a hell of a lot more than that for them to reconnect to the world we live in.
