darylslinn
Just come back from the Arena, 15 minute drive took 45 and we had to abandon the car 20 odd yards from home as we couldn't get up the hill, so my advice is if you don't absolutely have to go out, don't. More people should heed this advice, but needless to say it falls on deaf ears ! I'd love to see how many inches people have actually got too. bessmeg
Do hope a few people read and took notice of earlier posts on winter tyres this is the time when they are worth every penny. Just the one time you get caught in these conditions they really do come into there own. As said before as better in " normal" cold conditions as well. Really quite bad here a stannington at moment. I cannot report how good mine are at moment due to my car being broke down and awaiting recovery to garage Monday, so winter tyres or no winter tyres my cars going snow where at the moment! .Stay safe everyone would not travel unless you have to at moment ! One of the few times we've left without clapping the guys off the ice and I'm glad we did. Managed to get home but then had a car crash into ours. Luckily looks to be only minor damage. Please do not even attempt Jenkin Road from either end. It's impassable at the minute

freaklikeme
Unfortunately there are some of us who have to get to work as got patients to look after (NHS), along with those people from other services/professions. Dreading it!
darylslinn
what difference does that make they still have to get home The snow was forecast though and should people not take notice of that and the chaos that a couple of centimetres of snow causes in this city then what can you do. tinfoilhat
I'd love to see how many inches people have actually got too. Saucy mare ;) Settling big time in a killamarsh. Wondered whether to make a dash for it now for a job but reckon we'll just get caught in traffic and snow. Will run the gauntlet early doors tomorrow morning when I'm only battling snow.
