Eater Sundae
We are now forecast snow from about 9pm tonight going into Wednesday evening. Quite a lot of the snow is supposed to be heavy snow. Lets hope the council do not balls this up like last month. A message to everyone else... DO YOUR BIT! clear your driveways and the section of road in front of your house while the snow is still soft. It will make a difference. Metcheck is only expecting about 2 cm in total. over Wednesday. Also, not particularly cold, so grit and usage should easily cope on the major roads. It looks like the forecast may be a bit unreliable, place to place, depending where the actual falls are.
vincentb
Some of my neighbours clear the snow every time it comes down and it turns that piece of our road into skating rink, with the ice being impossible to spot, also the road has a slight camber so it can be treacherous to pass. In contrast the part of the road that still has snow on is still passable with care. Just to clarify my house is on a very quiet side street, which only has access to our houses. If you help them by gritting too, that'll finish the job.
synewsguy
Don't want to start a mad frenzy however I do have a friend who works up at The Northern General hospital who informs me that they had an email this afternoon forwarded on from the powers that be, it was a weather warning for the trust from the Met Office. Interpret that however you wish however to distribute within the hospital to me says that they are expecting some disruption.

I can get standardised Weather Warnings from the Met Office Sibon, anyone with a smart phone or laptop can however I think the NHS get specialised, custom updates. bigfat_rich
Snow again? Does this mean I will have to stand at my Window watching our elderly neighbors clearing snow off the road? No doubt the younger generation will be sat indoors moaning about the council not clearing the roads?
