Blades vs Saints

You had to do it, didn't you?

You had to tempt fate, like some kind of devil may care lunatic who's never suffered the trails and tribulations of being a Blade.

But you are a Blade and have no excuse for that sort of rash prediction!

The only good thing here is that we now have someone to blame when the whole thing goes pectorals up.

:(

:D

It told you but you wouldn't listen.:hihi::hihi:.

Don't you just love Dem Blades?.

Oh yes I do, but they keep on toying with my heart, after all these years.

Been a Blade for over sixty years, don't care that they have never delivered.

They are my team and always will be, through thin and thinner they, and County Clare ( who have delivered ) and Bodyke ( don't ask ) Hurling teams are the only teams I have any allegiance for, it's all in the blood.

One day maybe, but probably not, is the way it will go.

Great game. I went along thinking anything less than a spanking would be a bonus. That last half hour was totally edge of seat stuff . . .

The difference between that and L1 games? We played 4-5-1 and hit them on the break. Usually we have to take the game to teams who are defending deep and camped out in their area. Last night we were pinned back and coming out fast on the break. It must suit our players more, without a classic forward pairing (that works).

Anyway I can't remember having two semi's in under a year before.

2003? 3 semis including the play offs.

Well played United, good result against Southampton's reserves.

Time for the big boys in the semi (or Bournemouth)

Say what you wish, but a good team was put out from Southampton and you know it.

Forster - £10 million - England international

Coyne - England international

Fonte - Portugal international

Gardos - £4 million - Romania international

Schneiderlin - France international

Wanyama - £12.5 million - Kenya international

Mane - £11.8 million - Senegal international

Bertrand - England international

Long - £12 million - Ireland international

Alderweireld - Belgium international

Mayuka - Zambia international

yes i was thinking the same. Do you think this will turn our season round?

As someone alluded to earlier, teams sit back against us.

We struggle to break them down. Southampton being the PL team had to come at us, we took advantage of this.

It perhaps shows our team can do we'll at a higher level.

Well whether it does or doesn't Jon it shown that the skills and determination are there already, and if Clough is the man that he seems to be he has to make them produce on a regular basis and not just on "special" occasions.

I'm inwardly confident of our chances this year, we just need to put a blistering run together
