sheff71
Its funny how United are up for these games but cant beat Fleetwood! Or... it's funny how Southampton can beat Liverpool, but can't beat Sheffield United! Said it the other day though - it's clearly easier for the players to be lifted for games against top level teams (and they had a strong side out), and perhaps the likes of Fleetwood lift themselves similarly when playing against us? chalga
Great game from the Blades tonight, brought back memories of last season and we showed character,guts,attitude...........everything that has been missing from our game recently was there tonight..........the right mental attitude to battle out our opponents...and Southampton folded like a pack of cards. We still gave the ball away lots, but we got what we deserved here,we were up for a fight and we were not going to be bullied out of it..........it's the way forward in the league. Jim Hardie
Well done the Blades. Looking at the stats it seems it was well deserved. All those cards for Southampton won't do them much good.
rossyrooney
Well at last, usually when we attract a good crowd we fold and send them home disappointed.

Several posters said that Soton wouldn't be too fussed about winning this one, the stats seem to show different, it looks like they gave it their all and another entry door to Europe has closed on them tonight, maybe that could be a reason for Koemans anger.
