Event Horizo
Apparently 45 presents per child is the average in the modern xmas. I've got my son about 6. Of course he'll get more off the relations but think its crackers getting 45. I remember getting about 15-20. He'll be calling me scrooge in a few years lol
Guest
Sorry, where did you get that statistic from? I've never known anyone to get that many.

Member
Its a rubbish stat. Last yeah i got them about 8 or 9 prezzies each. Extended family dont really do prezzies so they get pretty much what i give them and only what i give them.
SqueakyPete
If anything,my kids get less pressies than I used to get(I used to get a large sack full). But the amount spent today, far outweighs my sack of presents(even with inflation taken into account lol)
flamingjimmy
Are you sure it wasn't 4.5?

tzijlstra
We used to get one present each (three lads) and that was it. As soon as we reached our teenage years the presents were done. Never occurred to me to think that was odd, because it wasn't. The amount of rubbish parents buy for their kids these days is astonishing and it all ends up in the attic/rubbish bin/under the bed.
