You can see the Superintendent house on the right, straight a head is the water tower and on left at the back is the Assembly hall. the two bunglows are where the Gardners had there allottment. The Orphanage closed in 1960 and the Children move across the city Called Scattered Homes. Then the place was opened as Girls approved School renamed the ( Moorside ) --------- Finally in the early 1980s the Vietnamese Boat People were housed there, then when that closed it was converted into luxury Dwellings as it is today. -------------- Send me a reply back and i'll send you a picture of the lay out. I am doing some private study and would be interested in any information. Hi, I was the last girl to leave Moorside School in 1983 before it shut down has a girls residental home.
