Hi Robert, if you keep on this thread and look for page 37-

number 773 you will see in March 2012 i made a list of boys & girls

names.

I did put Irene Hibbert and a Dorren if she had a sister of that name

not sure what house she was in.

I've just notice i hadn't put her Brothers names on the list,

i can't remember Frank but Derek was in no9 house and your

Kenneth was in no5 as i was in no6 house.

Have a look on the list of names you or your Relations might spot

a name. lets us know.

The Little Sisters of the Poor ran a Catholic orphanage on Heeley Bank Road. Since 1971 though, the site has been accommodation for a housing association.

Do a search on SF, as someone was researching this place a few months ago.

have you tried googling, sheffields orphanages and care homes for children in sheffield.

going back to the last posting, i remember the little sisters of the little sisters of the poor, i may be very wrong but i@ve no recollection ofit being an orphanage, i never saw any kids around there, i thought it closed because no wome or girls were joining the order anymore, i thouhgt the nuns looked after the elderly. sorry i will bow to anyone if they are right
