Barratt Homes have been given a large amount of land by Barnet Council, plus £440 million of tax payers money, in order to build new homes. Because if the people living in an house own the house they have a vested interest in keeping the house and neighbourhood a nice place to live, buy to let has ruined many areas. Leaseholders and Freeholders prior to the publication of the plans, have the right guaranteed to a supported ownership of a new property in the project.
