Does god get fed up of having to forgive sex offenders and murderers ?

But..

Sin is only committed by those who have faith in a divine law. The Bible also states that, so people with no faith have not sinned and only those that believe can.

Sin does not even exist because there is no divine law.

So you are perfect ? Have you never behaved in a way which hurt some one ? Nobody is perfect we all get things wrong which makes us sinners

However the point of the argument is that (and the moral argument is a strong case for this) that OBJECTIVE morals mean something totally different- e.g. that we as a human race would find it abhorrent if someone was to kill and torture 5 year olds- even if a group felt it was fine to do so.

Morality is subjective - although people generally lean it in a direction that serves their survival(regardless the group they identify with). Sometimes it has a negative impact on themselves or others, other times it doesn't.

You say we as a human race would find killing or torturing a 5 yr-old abhorrent, yet much of human history is brimming with the slaughter and torture of children - more so when those children have belonged to an out-group(killing children often becomes acceptable then).

Not so long ago in our society it was perfectly acceptable to beat disobedient children to a pulp - nowadays it isn't. It was also acceptable to execute children for criminal offence. And there are many examples around the world, even today, where killing children - especially for religious reasons - has been or is acceptable(killing albino children or those accused of witchcraft are examples of that).

Morality is subjective - always has been.

No, you don't seem to understand.

Sin is defined as being a transgression against a divine (God) law, therefore those who don't believe in that divine law cannot be sinners.

I agree that nobody is perfect and we get things wrong but it does not follow that all are sinners.

You can't use your conclusion as one of your premises bro! That's even worse logic than Mr Fisk was employing!

I'm a woman dear :D

So your caring God demands that if you upset somebody such as your son by telling him he'll fall over if he runs away then you are a sinner but hey that's OK, you can say a prayer and beg forgiveness and you'll still go to your heaven. Personally I find that rather childish. If you murder a child you can go to heaven providing you say sorry but if a child runs away when you told him not to, gets run over and killed before he can ask forgiveness for his sin of disobedience he'll not be allowed in by your caring God.

a lie is a lie and is therefore Sin

Would it have been better for Judas Iscariot to lie to the priests in an attempt to save his Master, or was he correct in doing what he did in order that mankind might be redeemed by the death of Jesus?
