Does god get fed up of having to forgive sex offenders and murderers ?

Recommended Posts

He gets fed up with people opening stupid threads on Sheffield Forum. I should know, I just received a tweet from him.

:hihi:

And for anyone that thinks God doesn't have a twitter account, here it is.

hi i read the scriptures in deuteronomy i dont see where God supports rape ?

Mary did not get pregnant on her own and there are no accounts in the bible of her ever consenting.

This:

It was said that Heinrich Himmler repented and turned towards Jesus before he died. If his repentance was genuine, would have he got into heaven?

would explain this:

There won't be any Jews in Heaven so that will avoid some discomfort.

According to the bible I will not be crossing the pearly gates.

I also fear for my position.

I used to have a good friend who was a Christian. I used to argue that even though I didn't believe in God, if I was wrong my good actions would be enough.

She said I was mistaken and I misunderstood Christianity. She said it was about worshiping Christ, and peoples weakness for sin was less important than their love for Christ.

what about the devil?

surely he has to get fed up of spending his time around sex offenders and murderers. And the midget henchmen? the little devils that break wind night and day

Would the devil not prefer to spend time with nice people, angels (in scantily clad outfits - with a bit of side boob on show) than society's oddballs for eternity

Oh I don't fear for mine (I'm guessing you don't really, either), but yeah, in Christianity you can commit a multitude of horrendous acts (murder, rape, torture, etc) and go to heaven if you repent and accept Jesus as your lord.

On the other hand, you can live a selfless and altruistic life, full of self-sacrifice & helping others, yet you will go to hell if you don't believe in Jesus.

According to the bible.

I like to think myself a Christian woman but I don't ''read'' the bible as being a hundred per cent factual.

I do believe there was a man at some point in history, and stories were made up around certain activities, shall we say, and blown up out of all proportion.

Take the feeding of the five thousand for instance.

I can't think of a modern day scenario so I'm afraid we are stuck with the fella preaching away, as we are led to believe, on the mount , in the heat of the day, and peeps are beginning to feel hungry.

Some have brought food with them, some have not.

Our fella claps his hands for.... QUIET! and then calls over the heads of the crowd for a little bit of neighbourly spirit. ''Has anyone got excess food they are willing to share''?

So there we are. The story snowballed.

This reputable man was deemed a miracle worker, he wasn't, there was enough food that day simply because people shared .

It was a lesson.

It is possible to put an everyday slant on the parables in the bible.
