andrejuan
Well it's on the ground and stationary so hopefully all is well?
tzijlstra
Astonishing piece of skill by the pilot - flying a plane that size and 'trying to shake the landing gear loose' is definitely a sign of competence. Pleased it turned out this well.
Obelix
Well it's better than landing on the engine cowlings for sure. It seems that the pilot was shaking it about a bit according to witnesses to free the gear. I guess s/he succeeded. Wonder if it had frozen overnight with the heavy frost or something daft like that? Happ Hazzard
Glad for the people onboard but I reeally wanted to see a landing in the Thames like that plane that landed in the Hudson River in New York a few years ago. Now that was a great piece of piloting.
andyofborg
so it must have been using up fuel/dumping the fuel. that adds an extra thrill to smoking outside stood there having a quiet smoke and several hundred gallons of aircraft fuel drops on your head

You would have thought that they would have only found out about it when coming in to land at Las Vegas.
