hillsbro
The buy-it-now price seems fair at £35.+.p&p as it's in quite good condition. I paid a similar price for a 1974 edition that needed rebinding.

beechnut
..i paid £3 for a mint 1961 edition from a car bootYou got a bargain, though it's fair to say that many car boot sellers don't know how to value such books. With Kelly's directories, the older they are the more they are worth (except for some that are available cheaply in PDF etc. form on CD's, such as the 1905 and 1925 Sheffield & Rotherham directories). In 2012 Scarthin Books of Cromford sold a 1942 Sheffield & Rotherham directory for £95, and a quick look at eBay buy-it-now prices just now revealed a Lincolnshire 1933 directory at £120 and a 1936 Bedfordshire directory at £87.50. Sheffield & Rotherham directories from the 1970s go for £20+ depending on condition, and 1960s directories £30-£40 or so.
