bessie boo
Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong place. I'm trying to organise a surprise anniversary party for my in laws and I don't know the exact date they got married. I've searched on ancestry sites but only got the month and year. obviously I can't ask them or anyone in the family as wouldn't be a surprise. Is there any other way I could find out the exact date from anywhere? Thanks

SILLY
Can't somebody just bring up the subject in conversation? From ancestry records you can apply for the wedding certificate if you know that you have the right people this costs about £9 .

SILLY
If you look on ancestry it gives you the option to order. You can also order it online at the government site. They only need the details that you have unless the name is so common that another couple with identical names got married in the same district and quarter. https://www.gov.uk/order-copy-birth-death-marriage-certificate Edited December 30, 2014 by SILLY
