janie48
Nazi doctrine? Does anybody know any history, or do we think that just repeating a current slogan makes us appear more intelligent? The Nazis were into eugenics, yes. The wanted to euthanize imperfect babies, yes. Has anyone on this thread actually advocated that? No. The biggest experiment to restrict family size was carried out by the Chinese communists,so shouldn't you be condemning this communists doctrine? We should be condemning any government that enforces such drastic methods.

Bonzo77
Why? .......... Because it's an infringement on our human rights and our choices. Little things like that.
Halibut
Nazi doctrine? Does anybody know any history, or do we think that just repeating a current slogan makes us appear more intelligent? The Nazis were into eugenics, yes. The wanted to euthanize imperfect babies, yes. Has anyone on this thread actually advocated that? No. This idea and the massive infringement of other people's rights it involves is exactly the kind of thing the Nazis or any other totalitarian government or state would endorse and enact. Alright, nobodies advocating eugenics per se, but to claim that that makes it wrong to call it a Nazi style idea is picking at straws frankly. So you think humans have the right to do whatever they want when they want to do it no matter the consequences.
flamingjimmy
Have a baby = no dole. Religion has no part, it will be a law of the land....like it or ship out! Ok, so you want young poor mothers to be deprived of their only source of income once their child is born, what a horrible thing. Implant or monthly injections. Holy crap, you want the government to have the authority to forcefully implant things inside poor people?

Halibut
Why? .......... Because it's evil. Do you really not get that? Forcibly and physically (by implanting contraceptive devices or drugs) stopping women (someone even suggested doing it to baby girls for crying out loud) from being able to conceive is an act of unjustifiable evil. It's a monstrous interference by the state into the private lives of citizens. It's theft on a grand scale. It's akin to state rape. Evil.

According to the latest government census the majority of the population was in favour of the policy , and if a population can not feed its self then it makes sense for the majority to forcibly stop the minority from making the situation worse than it already is. Surely it is better to cut the number of child births than to allow children to be born into poverty and starvation, overpopulation has some very serious consequences. Would you be happy for the state to violate your daughter's body against her will to prevent her conceiving?
