Zamo
From Yougov on the 16th: Never ceases to amaze me how many people will answer a question they are not qualified to answer! I wouldn't mind betting that of all those who gave an answer, at least 90% did not know what powers already exist and therefore cannot possible know whether more powers are needed or not! Eater Sundae
Does anyone else have the same image in their mind as I have? The scene in The Simpsons Movie of rows of desks with government employees listening in to thousands upon thousands of mundane conversations on the off chance that they'll hear something important. The scene in The Simpsons Movie of rows of desks with government employees listening in to thousands upon thousands of mundane conversations on the off chance that they'll hear something important. That is already happening. A lot of folks work at GCHQ doing just that. It is absurd and a sign of how a perceived terrorism threat is turning into an excuse to erode civilian rights further and further.
