Recommended Posts

Hello there friends,

Happy New Year to you and your family. What a tremendous start to the year and we are only in the second week!

In classes we have been detoxing, exploring the pelvis, the thoracic area of the body, and reviewing, playing and having fun with all sorts of yoga practices, relaxing and meditating. In this newsletter you will find…

1. Yoga, Shakti Dance, Poetry and Kirtan on Saturday 28 February, come to the whole workshop or just the Kirtan in the evening

A creative day of Dru Yoga Dance, Shakti Dance, poetry and Kirtan. We are just a little bit excited to be sharing this gorgeous workshop with you. Those of you who came to our last Ganapati Groove Party will know just how gorgeous HariPyari is and those who have come to yoga dance modules I have ran in the past will know how powerful yet graceful Dru Yoga dance is. If you do not feel like doing the day workshop that is fair enough, you can come and enjoy the evening Kirtan with the beautiful Haripyari.

Yoga and Dance from 10am to 4pm, Kirtan 6.00 to 8.30pm. £40 waged and £35 concession for the Yoga and Shakti Dance (does not include Kirtan); £45 waged and £40 concession for the Yoga, Shakti Dance and Kirtan; £10 waged and £5 concession for the Kirtan and kids under 10 are free

This workshop has been designed to lift our creative energy and prana (life force) through the use of specific yoga movements, mudras, yoga nidra, meditation, sound, sacred mantra, conscious music and spoken word. To see a full description of the workshop and itinerary please click here http://www.yoganaturesheffield.org.uk/workshops-walks/4585291072.

2. Ganapati Groove: Universal Peace Party on Saturday 28 March, tickets on sale now, The Old Sharrow Junior School, 4-11pm, £13 advanced, £16 on the door, £7 for those aged 10-16 and kids under 10 are free, £6 for a soulfood box.

We are not just a little excited about this event but completely over the moon to have been able to get yet another astounding array of musicians for our second Ganapati Groove Party. I cannot even find the words to encourage you to try and make this event. Anne Malone will take us to another plane of existence with her beautiful sound healing music and At Ma, well, this dynamic trio are bound to transport us out of the universe. There will also be an array of veg, vegan & raw food, cakes and juices to delight our taste buds. If that is not enough we also have family yoga, adult yoga, dance, face painting and other activities too.

You do not need to practice physical yoga to come to this event!! Invite your friends and family as the whole ethos behind this event is to bring the community together, to unite people, to show people we can have fun in a very creative and positive way. At the last one we had lots of people chilling and soaking up the atmosphere. Tickets on sale now from us, Party for the People, Airy Fairy and Blue Moon.

Find out more about the musicians below…

Anne Malone has written and produced a variety of cds, featuring in iTunes top 10 and NME Awards, and has been commissioned by BBC, Theatre Lab and alivEmotion to name just a few.

World music fusion trio At-Ma is a dynamic collaboration between vocalist/composer Russell Stone, multi-instrumentalist composer and producer Craig Pruess and dynamic tabla player Tom Simenauer.

Each of these musicians are multi-talented and have achieved far too much to list in this email to find out more please click here http://www.yoganaturesheffield.org.uk/ganapati-groove/4587039320 or join our Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/705289959564411/?fref=ts.

3. New kids class starting on Wednesday 28 January

One of the HomeEd groups in Sheffield have twisted my arm to run another kids class. How could I refuse when they already have 13 eager kids ready to start playing yoga?! So we are experimenting with a class starting on Wednesday 28 January, 1.30-2.30, The Light Room, Hagglers Corner. Aged 3 or 4 to 11 years of age. The classes will run term time and cost £7 per class. Payment for the term in full is due in advance of starting the class.

If you know anyone who may be interested please do share this information with them. It will not go on the website until we get an idea of whether or not it will work out ok.

4. New adult class starting on Thursday 22 January only 1 space left

Over the years I have had quite a few grown-ups encouraging me to start a daytime class. So here it is!! It will be held from the Aum Room, in Nether Edge, 9.30 – 11.00am. The class will cater for up to four people only. The classes will run term time, £10 per class, payable in advance for the whole term. There is only 1 space left on this class. First come, first served. Again it will not be put on the website until we see if it works out or not.

5. Blog Post: Yoga, Depression, Anxiety. What do these have any common?

This time of year can be quite challenging for many of us. Check out this blog post where we explore how yoga can help us: http://www.yoganaturesheffield.org.uk/blog/4585241003

6. Class recordings: Three beautiful yoga recordings to help soothe the soul during the darker, more reflective periods of our life

To support the blog post above and for periods where we feel a little bit lost and perhaps despair we have downloaded three recordings that I use myself on myself and also with clients who are exploring darker periods. http://www.yoganaturesheffield.org.uk/blog/4585241003

To book on any of the above or if you have any further enquiries please do get in touch with us on the details given below.

Many thanks for reading all the way to this point.

With warmest wishes and blessings for 2015,
