Invoice no-show kids??

This made me laugh out loud! What sort of person do you have to be to invoice a child for not showing up at the party AND THEN take them to a small claims court, for 15,95! Way too much time on her hands, besides, if the kid had shown up she would have had to pay for it anyway, no way a judge is going to grant this.

It's not illness or emergency they just decided to take up a better offer.

I doubt she has grounds for court, even the verbal contract likely wouldn't hold water.

 

I still think the invoice is a ballsy decision.

She could have taken another kid if they had cancelled or changed the numbers.

 

Imagine if everyone had the same attitude and birthday child was sat on his own.

I don't disagree that its bad manners but is bad manners grounds for litigious behaviour? If you or I presented someone with an invoice and tried to drag them through court for non payment everytime we encountered rudeness we'd do little else. The woman is barking

If shes doing it because she couldnt afford to lose the £16, then she shouldnt have had a party.

What happened to a homemade cake and a few friends from class to play? I think I only had one proper party my entire childhood and even that was more at my parents wishes than my own.

People bringing little jonny and then dumping his siblings too.

 

One birthday we had to have birthday tea in three sittings.

 

3 lots of charlie chalk birthday tea was the final straw after that I stuck to lazerquest and 6 invites only.
