pirogi
Goodmornign Sheffield. There's a 90% chance we will move to Sheffield soon. I will have to commute to work (it's in Rotherham s60), but we want to live in Sheffield. Could You please recommend any nice place? Was thinking about S9 or s13...if not, then s2, s4, s5 (just 'cos they are the closest to s60)... what would be the best choice to look for a house to let? Is it safe on streets with 'row houses'? We want to live ina a nice safe area, with access to public transport.. Doesn't have to be in the city centre, just need to have some shops arround. I'll be sooo greatfull for any advice! P.S. Here's a map I looked up while chossing the closest areas to s60 http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/0a/S_postcode_area_map.svg/2000px-S_postcode_area_map.svg.png
Clumber
Try S26 (Aston, Swallownest, Aughton, Treeton)
geared
North/South Anston are both quite nice as well. I wouldn't fancy the S9 area personally.
Bilge
Try S26 (Aston, Swallownest, Aughton, Treeton) http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/S_postcode_area See link above. Those areas and the ones in previous post are in Rotherham borough.
denlin
North/South Anston are both quite nice as well. I wouldn't fancy the S9 area personally. Me neither or S2 or definitley not S4. Some areas of S5 are OK but not many. Try S35 which includes Grenoside, Ecclesfield and Chapeltown Edited January 22, 2015 by denlin
Bilge
What is your budget? Is having 'good schools' nearby important? Can you be more specific where you are commuting to?

SILLY
Handsworth S13 is fine but depending on your budget etc there is a new housing estate being built at Waverly.
