psynuk
I'm trying to find out details about the houses on school road (and ones in the same estate) Generally, I can find a lot out about Thorncliffe but not much about this estate, not even its name, if it indeed has one. I'm looking for info about its general its history, I'm led to believe it was built in the 50's by pow's. As well as details like; architects plans, what type of bricks are used for the houses so on so forth. Any ideas?
hisbuff
I worked on those houses when the wall ties were replaced in the early 1990s Sheffield City Council certainly had extensive survey details, specifications, architects drawings, old plans - the whole shebang. It was stored at the old housing office on Station Road,God knows where they went when it was closed. You could try contacting them. Good Luck
