After 18 long months, we couldn’t be more excited to bring our regular Burly Q show back to it’s spiritual home at Queens Road Social Club! Not only that, but the timing couldn’t be any better, as on Saturday 14th March we will be celebrating 6 years of producing sell out burlesque and cabaret events in Sheffield, and, in doing so, bringing to South Yorkshire a glittering array of award winning, internationally acclaimed performers. Expect a decadent blend of the UK’s most exquisite burlesque, cabaret, comedy and circus, and, as always, a little of the unexpected too!

 

In honour of a very special birthday and our ‘homecoming’ show, we have trawled the burlesque and cabaret universe to bring a WHOLE new cast of performers, each and every one of them making their Burly Q Sheffield debuts!

 

STARRING:

 

BONNIE FOX – Double Winner at the Burlesque Hall of Fame 2014, Las Vegas, for Best Debut and Most Dazzling Dancer. International Crown at World Burlesque Games, 2013. First place titles at the most prestigious swing dance competitions and battles throughout the world. Bonnie Fox is an international queen of burlesque, and she’s bringing those jaw dropping, award-winning performances to Burly Q!

 

LILI LA SCALA – With a vintage pin-up girl figure, the face of a star of the silver screen and the voice of an angel, renowned cabaret hostess and singer of vintage songs Lili La Scala has delighted, enthralled and seduced audiences worldwide.

 

TINA T’URNER TEA LADY – Prepare to be thrown back into the 80’s with the winner of London Cabaret Awards Best Newcomer Award. Described as, ‘Mrs Overall meets Beyonce’ (Beyond the Joke), prepare for a surreal and side-splitting experience!

 

CHI CHI REVOLVER – a performer born with circus sawdust in her veins, Chi Chi is a Guiness World Record holding, burlesquing hula-hooper, who has been known to wear hoops instead of underwear!

 

GINGER BLUSH - bringing lashings of humour, serious sex appeal and a side of slapstick to her award-winning burlesque performances, Ginger Blush promises tongue in cheek tease, and burlesque wiv brainz!

 

LENA MAE – flirtatious, vivacious and charismatic, Lena takes inspiration from the golden age of Hollywood, pop culture and classic striptease - a true burlesque artiste with boundless enthusiasm and a truly contagious smile!

 

To round off the evening DJs Cherryred and Den Iniquity will make the dance floor jump, wiggle and shake, with their all vinyl DJ set of rock and roll, R and B, swing and big band.

In addition, we are thrilled to host a number of vintage dance style workshops on Sunday 15th March, taught by none other than Bonnie Fox herself. This is an amazing opportunity to learn from one of the leading teachers of this genre, whose classes are in demand throughout the world. Full details will be released shortly!
