SweetonSoul
The Attercliffe Liberals is a nice friendly social club, the people who go there are people who live in the area and have been going for a lunchtime drink, bingo (good prizes!) and the sunday night singers. As an ethnic male I have never experienced any prejudice there in fact people have gone out of their way to be friendly to me, whereas in town trouble is rarely far away. Friday and Saturday nights are split between Northern Soul, a Scooter/Mod night with various nights free in the month. Room is free for hire, holds about 70 people, snug bar in other side, snooker room upstairs. These working mens clubs are the lifeblood and hub of the community ofter struggling by to break even. We are "trialling" a gay night,on Friday Feb 6th- basically it will be a night of music and friendships, we will play requests, listen to what you think, and hope anyone who comes will find friends and have a good time. Its specifically for those who don't like places such as Dempseys or town where trouble can sometimes happen. Attercliffe is on the Meadowhall Tram route also on the bus route (52 and for one). So hope to see you all there-Mickey x
stormvixen
Sweetonsoul- how does that answer the OP's question (unless they stated that this is where the do is?!
VIEW2BUY
Attercliffe should be refurbished to become a legally operative Red Light district. Be a fantastic tourist attraction...Sheffield's take on a LITTLE of AMSTERDAM. Apparently it WAS a thriving place during the more promiscuous years. Could still earn big if designed by City Innovators. As we move forward we still should encompass these particular forms of trading in completely renovated awe inspiring outlets. Which would be a SAFER environment for night time excursions of a different kind and totally legalised.{{{{{RECENTLY FEATURED ON TV. Not a proud moment for Sheffield}}}}} Edited August 9, 2015 by VIEW2BUY
