Stoatwobbler
https://www.change.org/p/bank-of-england-put-nye-bevan-founder-of-the-nhs-on-our-20-notes Aneurin Bevan, chief architect of the National Health Service, was one of the most important ministers of post-war Britain. A lifelong champion of social justice and the rights of working people, he established the NHS in 1948 as the world's first universal healthcare system, funded from general taxation, publicly provided and free at the point of need. Despite the economic hardships of the immediate post-war period, Bevan was determined that the new National Health Service should give the very best care to all the people equally, irrespective of how rich or poor they were. National polls consistently name the National Health Service as the thing that makes most people proud to be British. It reflects the diversity of our country, caring for and staffed by people from a multitude of races and backgrounds. The 70th anniversary of the founding of the NHS in 2018 is the ideal time to recognise its founder. We believe featuring Aneurin Bevan on our £20 banknote is a fitting tribute. Mister M
That's a very good idea, he's certainly worthy of the recognition. Although the recent hate campaign against Caroline Criado-Perez, the journalist who campaigned for the author Jane Austen to go on the £10 note, and was trolled on the internet (receiving rape & death threats), is an unwelcome sign from some of the opponents of change. Mr Bloom
Excellent idea. Would be even better if we could also have Cameron - the destroyer of the NHS - printed on the soles of our shoes.

alchresearch
Interesting to find a connection there to the National Health Action Party. http://labourlist.org/2012/10/the-national-health-action-party-must-be-strangled-at-birth/ But good choice of person for the note though. Note to Labour List. If the Labour party were doing their job properly there would be no need for NHA Party to exist.
