Guest
Is there a particularly large Irish community in Sheffield to warrant all the St Patricks day hoo ha?
JFKvsNixon
Is there a particularly large Irish community in Sheffield to warrant all the St Patricks day hoo ha? I'm not sure. One thing is for certain, there are enough people willing and able to get blotto on Guinness on St Patricks night to warrant all the hoo ha! DnAuK
So I guess you will be celebrating Diwali in November then? Sounds like a perfectly fair question to me. It seems we now pay more attention to St Patricks day/weekend/whatever than we do to our own patron Saint. Wouldn't be because of all the corporate sponsorship from Guinness now would it? If so, maybe we should celebrate St Andrew's day a lot more? As well as Scotland he is also patron saint of Russia. Russian stouts wipe the floor with that Irish muck, and Scots brewers Brewdog do some fine examples too! Double win!
AnnieMcK
Hi Does anyone know know when the tents on far gate arrive to celebrate St Patrick day? Surely it will be a couple of days before St Paddys Day so possibly get put up on the Friday?
