stpetre
As for 'strange sayings'. when I was a kid in the 50's the lady next door, when talking to my mother would have some classics, as in when describing a woman who was reddened with embarrassment was to have 'A face like a fresh slapped a***' and people who started to do things, taking forever and achieving nothing were deemed as ' P***balling around. She was a Pitsmoor lady and wonder if those were just familiar to there.
