Jeffrey Shaw
Sorry to reactivate this ancient thread- but I learn that paper put into the blue bin need not be stripped of its Sellotape/self-adhesive tape. I asked Veolia and it replied: "If you can remove the tape this would be preferable but if not still place the envelope with the other paper and card items for recycling." PoUnDLaNdMAN
Hi I put unwashed bottles and cans in the blue bin and and anything paper with anything stuck on it in the blue box . I don't have time to clean them as I have kids. :roll:It's that a crime?

myriad
If you live in a flat they no longer allow plastic in a blue bin because it's a "fire risk" apparently. Presumably plastic in a black bin doesn't burn then? The best part is Veolia didn't bother to tell anyone in advance, they just stuck an amateurish looking sign on the bins with no explanation.
