Troll meaning on some forums = Anyone you disagree with Troll meaning in the media = Someone who bullies someone online, taunts them and is cruel and heartless and gets a big kick out of causing pain to anyone they can get their nasty claws into. As with hackers/crackers the media usually gets the meaning wrong because for the most part they are stupid and dont really care about being accurate jusr as long as trhey can sell you tomrrows chip paper., So who decides that Troll 1 and troll 3 are different? The person who thinks they are witty and nice or the recipient of the humour. I've seen some media classified troll taunts and to me they weren't any different than an irritating troll. Common sense tells you the difference but if your still unsure Troll 3 is the one more likely to tell you to kill yourself or some other vile insult or comment.
