The offences are alleged to have been committed between 2006 and 2011 and largely relate to one girl who was under 16 at the time. The men are mainly from Halifax or Bradford, but also Huddersfield, Derby, Shipley, Nantwich and Newport in Wales. Almost all of the men in both cases are from Asian backgrounds, prompting police leading one of the cases to warn that far-Right groups may use the issue to stir up racial tension. That type of thinking let people in authority look the other way for years. They should just get on and enforce the law without fear or favour, like they are supposed to do. True but when a whistle blower is stopped in the street by two policemen and threatened and saying we know where you live, what faith can you have in the police. "The researcher claims she was approached by two officers while she was in her car at night, to be told it would be a ‘bad thing’ if the abusers she was investigating found out her home address.
