The Joker
I'm sure that part of the road they're parking on (past Hucklow school, heading away from the city centre) does not have any double yellow lines. Happy to be corrected, in case I'm talking out of my backside.
denlin
Double parking has nothing to do with yellow lines, it's illegal
bkcin
That stretch of road is getting progressively worse in terms of cars parking along it.
The Joker
Double parking has nothing to do with yellow lines, it's illegal Ah, so I am talking out of my backside. If the OP could confirm, does he literally mean double-parking or just parking on double yellows ? I would be very concerned if NGH staff and visitors are leaving their cars double-parked on Barnsley Road all day, because the top of the hill is a chokepoint with little visibility of oncoming traffic, like the Stocksbridge bypass)
Kevo
Herries Road is the same where it narrows below the main entrance and that is on a bend it's made it quite dangerous now as heavy lorries etc use this busy rd silly parking in my opinion

Guest
Double parking has nothing to do with yellow lines, it's illegal How would a police officer ascertain which of the double-parked cars parked up last, causing the double-parking?
