gudji1
Perhaps in the wrong section but looking for help. We have a large B&B and have been cursed with many bad wifi doorbells which after a while just stop working. Our electrician has been here all day putting in hard wire but even he has problems and the bells just do not ring correctly. Sounds like low power. Any ideas as we need bells in 4 locations. Jace
Have a look at these as an example: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Friedland-Bell-Transformer-8V-D780/dp/B0001NPZ6A/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1423860955&sr=8-3&keywords=doorbell+power http://www.amazon.co.uk/Friedland-D792-Underdome-Wired-Door/dp/B00BEJLH2G/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1423861126&sr=8-4&keywords=Underdome+Bell you'll find cheaper transformers if you shop around. You'll need the button switches as well, but the bells will wake the dead, mine makes me jump every-time it rings!
Nagel
Get an antique electric door bell. I have one of these and it's incredibly loud and penetrates even over high volume music. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ANTIQUE-VINTAGE-ELECTRIC-GPO-BRONZE-BELL-WOOD-DOOR-RAILWAY-BUTLER-ALARM-PHONE-/301527238050?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item46346c85a2 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/German-Vintage-Electric-Doorbell-Solid-Brass-Bell-Metal-fittings-Wood-working-/181664142357?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a4c06d415 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/German-Vintage-Electric-Doorbell-Chromed-bell-Brass-fittings-Dark-Wood-Tone-/181664177178?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a4c075c1a http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ANTIQUE-VINTAGE-OLD-WOODEN-ELECTRIC-DOOR-RAILWAY-BUTLER-ALARM-BELL-WOOD-BRASS-/371253463752?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item56706e4ac8 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ELECTRIC-OLD-WOODEN-AND-BRASS-DOOR-BELL-/371252063265?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item567058ec21

Afilsdesigne
A decent 24Vdc power unit and four of these (or similar) http://cpc.farnell.com/jsp/level5/module.jsp?moduleId=cpc/344375.xml will do the trick, permanently. You will need to wire the doorbell switch via a relay to handle the load. Any decent electrician can do this for you.

Any decent burglar alarm engineer would know how to complete this type of job correctly. Perhaps it requires an additional power supply.
