ohmyword Posted February 17, 2015 Share Posted February 17, 2015 Hi people. Me and Boydie (friend of mine) what you’d call ‘foodmeisters’ (we like food!) and want some advice from you. Have you ever heard of such a dish as BEEF WELLINGTON? Well we had some once at a place down south and last night we was watching a history program on telly and there was a man called WELLINGTON on who fought the Germans or French or somebody. That made me and Boydie think about that BEEF WELLINGTON what we had and it made us want some more! WHERE SHALL WE GO IN SHEFFIELD TO GET AN INCREDIBLE BEEF WELLINGTON FOR A FAIR PRICE? jaffa1 Posted February 17, 2015 Share Posted February 17, 2015 If you want to eat at home try looking in Lidl, over the Christmas period and at Valentines they were selling them froze in a pack of two. I just tried a couple but I did go back for more , they were delicious, lovely thick, juicy and tender steak inside of the fluffy pastry. They are not pre-cooked by the way , you have to get your oven pretty hot for the pastry, it also comes with a bag of the tastiest gravy. My freezer is well stocked up with them. Never thought about doing it ourself but that could be a good idea. Thanks for this.
