Bufton's Sheffield

I'm looking into family history and wondered if anyone knew or knows any background on the Bufton family in Sheffield?

I used to know Roger Bufton, he died quite young, maybe late 40's.

His father was called Harry, he had an engineering or electrical company.

They used to live on Causway Head Road in Dore. Harry also had a daughter but I don't know what became of her.

My grandad was Harry Bufton but lived in S6 area. Married to Betty Bufton and had two boys, my dad Ian and younger brother Neil.

I knew Lyn Ward (nee Bufton) the last time I saw her was about 10 years ago, she lived in Dore and was Harrys daughter

I went to school with Roger Bufton , who lived at Dore. Roger along with John Gibson who also lived at Dore,and used to be friends and visited the area on several occasions.

They had an electrical business, Bufton Electric Company, and always remember Roger's father usually owned American cars, which I lusted after in those mid 1950's days.

Someone has reported that Roger died in his mid 40's which I was not aware.

I am pretty sure Reg Wilson,the Sheffield speedway rider was sponsored by Bufton electrics and he displayed the name on his racing leathers.
