Clarkson suspended by the BBC

Recommended Posts

Observation from Del: Slimy David Cameron as waded into the battle with his support of Clarkson on the back of supposed public opinion due to the 500k on the reinstatement petition. How desperate is it possible to get? He's alleged to be as big as tax avoider as Jimmy Carr, whom he jumped all over, when he saw that public opinion was against Carr. If people remember correctly, Carr criticised the government before the tax avoidance scandal hit the headlines and Cameron spat out his dummy, but Clarkson gets preferential treatment because he votes Conservative and is more than likely a tory party donator.

Please would you be kind enough to show us where Cameron has supported JC?

Leslie Grantham, who, whilst serving in the British Army in Germany set out to rob a taxi driver armed with a hand gun.

The taxi driver put up a fight and Grantham killed him.

I do not believe in the death penalty, because it would mean that innocent people would be murdered by the State on occasions which seems ridiculously contradictory to me.

On the other hand you should pay for taking a life with your life, incarcerated until death, unless new evidence exonerates you.

Grantham served ten years and went on to have a life and become a celebrity.

The German taxi driver is dead for all eternity and his family are left heartbroken for the rest of their lives.

If you wish to leave Gadd in prison til he dies - which I have no problem with - then Grantham should still be serving time.

Comparing handbags over a chip butty with murder or child rape is like comparing man flue with ebola .

No, all this going on on SKYnews, whilst ITV and BBC feed us pathetic Clarkson drivel all day.

Cameron can step up and stand up for Clarkson on the news today, but remains silent on the revelations in the press this weekend that he and Clegg have needed the threat with high court before they would comply with a freedom of information request on child sexual abuse by Westminster paedophiles!

It's not good, is it?

Sorry, yes, I should have made that distinction.

It does seem though that if you are big and arrogant and lucrative enough, different rules apply...which is wrong.

It's just the way of the world. Of course, hypocritical, that's just humanity for you.

The whole concept of 'right' and 'wrong' is just something we made up to feel better about ourselves as we profess to be in the right, while all along being in the wrong.

I dislike his character and nature very much so, not that that matters much. He seems to have popular support, which equates to power and influence....

I cant help but feel he is somehow tapping in to some primal impulse within humanity to rebel or speak out against authority. Maybe that is what makes him so attractive to the masses? Or that he speaks his mind (not that he thinks much). Anyone can speak their mind and not give a fig about the consequences, what's so special about him?

Pretty run of the mill stuff actually

Speaking on BBC Midlands Today, Cameron said: "I don't know exactly what happened. He is a constituent of mine, he is a friend of mine, he is a huge talent. I see that he said he regrets some of what happened. All I would say, because he is a talent and he does amuse and entertain so many people, including my children who'll be heartbroken if Top Gear is taken off air, I hope this can be sorted out because it is a great programme and he is a great talent."

I would imagine that is pretty much what any BBC trustee would be saying.
