loraward
Any tips? How do I view the eclipse this Friday, without burning my retinas out? Can I make something out of paper and card, with a little pin-hole, like a pin-hole camera type thingy, projecting an inverse image of the sun on to the card? Also, what time is the eclipse? Also, where in Sheffield is it? Viewing it through the clouds worked for me.
hillsbro
Nice photos Hillsbro - what camera did you use?It was a Nikon Coolpix P510 with 42x zoom. This gave images similar to this one which I then cropped with Photoshop..
Daven
I've got a welding mask glass, worked perfectly last time. Saw someone in their garden nearby sat wearing one of those - he did look a little silly but I guess it did the trick.
