chalga
Could it be that the windscreen shattered, (another theory,) and he lost consciousness? They've listened to everything that went on in there...........they even said they they could hear this co pilot breathing normally,so that ruled out a heart attack, they would hear a window shattering, they can hear the hammering on the door and the passengers screaming. Ela James
My readings led me to suspect that the co-pilot, Andreas Lubitz, was feeling insecure about his job: I read somewhere that his training was stopped for a while for assessment

johncocker
If it was "suicide" it must have been a spur of the moment thing..how did he know the captain would leave the cockpit? are most suicide decisions taken like that? Genuine question.. maybe /some" experts "on suicide say that it takes an impulsive act to get past the innate self-preservation instinct. The copilot might not have planned it. He could have just taken advantage of the opportunity or waited for the next opportunity if he did plan it. , the copilot had other opportunities if he was merely suicidal. Taking 150 people with you is homicide. ---------- Post added 27-03-2015 at 13:18 ---------- This is just incredible, and so sad. I don't think we know the half of it yet, but then again, this time, maybe we never will. How can you ever find out? Also the story where one of the German school children on the exchange trip forgot her ID and they almost missed the plane....

Newspapers to keep quiet and not report things. Mind is saying we should complain about reporting of it. There is no relationship between depression and desire to murder people. It is just a desperate and misplaces grasping for meaning in the face of an overwhelming feeling of impotence, which I can understand - but this proposal amounts to a witch hunt. It is exactly like saying ban Germans from becoming pilots because Germans may want to murder people. It is a way to feel better because you have done "something", when you haven't actually improved safety at all. It is a rush for an easy scapegoat. ---------- Post added 27-03-2015 at 13:42 ---------- Thats not funny really now is it. wasn't meant to be
