Minimo
We were playing a game 'Best of British' at the weekend and one of the questions caused quite a stir. The question was 'Who is The Bard of Avon, Duke of Cornwall and Lord Falconer?' The answer on the card was Prince of Charles. We simply couldn't get this at all. Does anyone have any explanation? Maz3
Clearly a misprint ... Berk of Avon more like.
Plain Talker
Seeing as Camilla is Duchess of Cornwall, it's not a giant leap to surmise that the likeliest candidate for the title Duke of Cornwall would be the husband of the Duchess, viz Prince Charles. Mandem
But PT he is not the Bard of Avon, I think that is what the OP was saying.
JFKvsNixon
It's either a very cryptic clue that's beyond me or a misprint.
Minimo
But PT he is not the Bard of Avon, I think that is what the OP was saying. Yes, it is this one that had us all scratching our heads. The Prince may be very good at writing to ministers, but as far as I know they are not in verse. I think I may write to the company.
