The man who helped to close wisewood secondary is running in election

Recommended Posts

Harry Harpham does live in the constituency he represents. He live at Page Hall.

Which is more than David Blunkett did living on the Chatsworth Estate. Saying that I wonder how long it'll be before he sells up.

I sympathise with the people of Hillsborough with their options of him as he has done little to help improve the problems we face daily.

We've had his election leaflet. We've also had Oliver Coppard's, the candidate for Hallam. We've had none except Labour so far, which might suggest the other parties have already decided Mr Harpham will win. Or perhaps they are just biding their time and will be out in force with their leaflets before long.

Why have you had both? Do you have two houses? Or has some leaflet person delivered to the wrong door.

Agreed. Generally we only ever get anything from Maxine Fowler.

Maxine Fowler? Sic!

I presume you mean Maxine Bowler of the Socialist Workers Party?

Given her role at the heart of the cover-up of the rape and sexual assault allegations in the SWP, I'm gob-smacked that she would even dare to show her face.

Is the local media so blinkered by the child sexual exploitation issues with South Yorkshire Police that it is completely unable to cover the well-documented story that a local parliamentary candidate was at the heart of a cover-up of the rape of female SWP members by a leading SWP officer?

Extraordinary.

The Man who Did his upmost to close Wisewood secondary school - Harry Harpham has the cheek to run for election for Hillsborough .

im sorry but most will never forget what he did and his lies he told on the merger issue .

I will not vote for him and im sure many others will not .

If you want to vote for a left wing party, Vote Green.

possibly a mistake as hallam and hillsborough constituencies run so close to each other especially around wisewood/loxley area

You can read a summary of some of the story at

http://www.newstatesman.com/politics/2014/05/comrades-war-decline-and-fall-socialist-workers-party

Maxine Bowler was a key member of a kangaroo court called the Disputes Committee which was set up to hear the rape and sexual assault allegations on the basis that the SWP and the Disputes Committee “had no faith in the bourgeois court system to deliver justice” and, therefore, the woman was ‘persuaded’ that it was inappropriate to take her complaints to the police.

...and to think we were worried about Sharia courts.

Also remember there is no such thing as safe council, Sheffield has changed between Labour and LibDem over the past years. People think it is always the Labour Party who run Sheffield.

Jan Wilson 1998 – 1999 Labour

Peter Moore 1999 – 2002 Liberal Democrats

Jan Wilson 2002 – 2003 No Overall Control

2003 – 2007 Labour

2007 – 2008 No Overall Control

Paul Scriven 2008 – 2010 Liberal Democrats

2010 – 2011 No Overall Control

Julie Dore 2011 – present Labour

Stop press!

Just found out "Wisewood School and Community Sports College. The school was closed in the Summer of 2011 and demolished in March 2012"

New schools take some planning, Paul Scriven was in charge from 2008 to 2010 or did it all happen instantly under Harry's charge?

Remember no matter who you vote for the council always get in.

The consultation for merging the 2 schools began in 2007.

If I remember rightly, Paul scriven approached the then labour government to stop the merger. Ed balls had some say in the decision too. But it had apparently gone too far.
