Indeed. But all the Packer cricket was free to air.

 

I think because he worked for Packer all that time was one of the reasons why he disliked so much Packers eclipsing rival, Murdoch's commercial operations wherever they were. He was Australian, Benaud. He liked England and Britain but was always a total Australian. That is why Abbott so ridiculously, offered a state funeral.

 

did Benaud refuse a Knighthood or some other British honour, or what? Why isn't it Sir Richie Benaud like it was Sir Don Bradman?
