Mister M
This is such a weird idea, I've no idea what the thinking behind it is, or how it could possibly help. "A Conservative parliamentary candidate has told a meeting that people with mental illnesses could wear wristbands to help identify their condition. She then said suggested a different coloured wristband for each mental health condition for those who are unable to communicate their conditions". http://politicalscrapbook.net/2015/04/conservative-chamali-fernando-wristbands-mentally-ill/#more-52354 People with mental health conditions that I've met are more than capable of articulating their condition, and would be able to shoot down in flames the idea of having people with mental health conditions wearing different coloured wrist bands for different 'illnesses'. Does anyone else think this is a stupid idea?
sgtkate
Didn't the Nazi's do something similar with arm bands?
Mister M
Didn't the Nazi's do something similar with arm bands? Yes I believe yellow stars were issued for Jews, black ones for disabled and pink ones for gays.
Alcoblog
I wonder what colour wristbands MP's would have to wear to show their psychopathic/sociopathic disorders ... would there be enough wristbands to go round too?
Vaati
So what colour would they wear for coming up with this idea?
Berberis
... edit, I jumped on theband wagon without actually reading the article, which now with hindsight seems like a fair idea. Edited April 16, 2015 by Berberis
carltoncdx
Maybe if MP's wore a neck band that got tighter every time they told a lie things would improve.....
Halibut
I'm only surprised it was a Conservative and not a Kipper. Bloody absurd suggestion.
Mister M
I'm only surprised it was a Conservative and not a Kipper. Bloody absurd suggestion. Apparently she was a Liberal Democrat until recently! She doesn't sound very liberal to me.
