taxman
<Rant>I, cannot afford to provide the rest of the world with health care. <Rant> But presumably you don't mind paying for Trident or being treated by an immigrant doctor or nurse.
I1L2T3
5 million British people live abroad and use health facilities where they live. In reality the costs to the NHS when you balance emigrated Brits vs immigratants is probably going to be neutral.

-Boomer-
They have to pay for healthcare. Personally, I don't think it goes far enough, they shouldn't get any benefit of any description, no schooling no nothing. I might consider the nationals of the likes of France, Italy, Germany and Spain to claim some benefits providing we can do the same to them. loraward
5 million British people live abroad and use health facilities where they live. In reality the costs to the NHS when you balance emigrated Brits vs immigratants is probably going to be neutral. Which is less than the mount of foreigners in Britain and medical insurance is required to get access to medical care abroad, so it's a long way from neutral. 7.9 million foreign-born residents living in England. 5.5 million British people live permanently abroad and most of them don't live in countries from which most of the 7.9 million foreign-born immigrants came from. 1.55 million live in Australia and were deemed useful to Australia. The vast majority require private healthcare insurance, even within the EU to cover their needs. The EU medical card means nothing in Europe. blake
Miliband is not doing bad actually although obviously Sturgeon has had the best time of it, it is Farage who is having the appalling campaign and who has done the least to enhance his standings with the debates. I think he probably will still win Thanet South, but if he does lose, perhaps he will blame them for being too left-wing as well like he did the BBC audience last night. crazybaby
But surely the British people living abroad will only get the treatment that is available in that Country and most of it is nothing like what's available for free in the NHS.

He is the only one willing to give straight answers to questions that are asked.
