geared Posted April 21, 2015 Share Posted April 21, 2015 This piece on the beeb is quite telling. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-32359142 It doesn't look like just stopping the boats will solve the problem, the people are still trying to come, and from all over. More needs to be done, to get it into the general mindset that Europe isn't a home for illegal economic migrants. The government/police need to do more to round up those in Europe and send them back home, as well as punish those giving them employment. An interesting titbit on the bbc yesterday, China are very kindly going to pony up $46bn to build a highway from China to that beacon of stability, Pakistan.
