lewisty
The council make an effort for every other event i.e. Eid, St Patricks! so why not St Georges! Only fair.
InigoMontoya
Byron, Nether Edge usually puts a few flags and desktop flags up. Served Bombardier last year, IIRC. So. In order to celebrate this, can anyone tell me where can I buy Slovenian or Bulgarian beer in Sheffield? (Either that or contract Herpes)

Obviously our Council haven't done anything. Then again it isn't Eid or St Patrick's Day! So is getting bevvied the traditional way? Or do we copy the Irish? ---------- Post added 23-04-2015 at 15:21 ---------- How dare you be English and proud!! darylslinn
I celebrate the way I always do by wearing my cross of St. George tie and cufflinks to work and not the corporate tie I am supposed to wear. Do they still give books as gifts in Barcelona ? The difference between St. Georges Day and St. Guinness Day is basically commercialism, i'm all for celebrating being English and our long historic and bloody past as much as any other country celebrates their patron saint. #PatriotismNotRacism
