Garage sticker in rear screen.

Just walked past a car with C D Bramall Ltd sticker on a car's rear screen. The car was 10 years old and I wonder if C D Bramall's is still going. Charles Bramall was a friend of the bank manager at the bank where I worked in the early 60's. At the time he had a garage in Sheffield (Ford main dealer I think) and one in Leeds, Hamilton & Bramall Ltd run by his son Tony, I think. I just wondered if the garage he established many years ago has grown into a chain, possibly outside the Sheffield area.

Hi mike G,Brammalls have ceased trading now,Charlie started at the bottom of Stannington rd just after the war and he sold Citreons a friend of mine worked for years with them both there and on Queens rd.He came to my garage one day and asked to used the phone and within minutes he was effing and blinding in a friendly chat then put the phone down,i asked him who it was ,he said oh its only Tony Brammall MD of the group.

C.d.bramall are still in business in bradford,i had lots of company cars from them on contract hire in 80s and 90s.

Hi Jackanne. Nice to see they are still up and running. I notice you live in North Anston. I lived there in 1971/2 on Grasmere Close.

I am only just around the corner from grasmere close,on warwick way,but if you have not been to anston/dinnington since 1971 you would hardly recognise some of the area.
